yes, I am still alive

Its been a long, dry spell...a long, cold, dry spell...a long, cold, dark, snowy, dry spell...a long, cold.....oh forget it, you get the idea..... anyways... I am back- and in a new spot. One of the reasons I havemt posted ( and believe me it is one of the weaker ones) is the not so user-friendliness of the other blog site - no one ever responded - ( well, hardly anyone) so it seemed like no one was reading it. This one is much easier - you don't have to register etc etc ..

And I am coming out of my duldrums I think...so once again I will be able to post without starting to cry, which seemed to be happening everytime I would try to write or send an email to anyone.

Christmas is coming - and we will be coming home - at least that is the plan weather permitting. The ferry is currently out due top low water levels and ice jams - but leaving is more than a month away yet.

Some of you know our good news - others maybe don't - Luke & Annie are getting married this summer!! Needless to say we are all very happy and excited. I am working on a system whereby I will get more time off this summer - putting in some longer days now in return for 'home-time' this summer. I will keep you posted.

Now - i want to know if anyone is ever reading this! Let me know via comments - and I will post more pics etc too!! Love you all and miss you.....

Yep this is a much better site and I think you have already found much easier to blog and post pics. Dont get down if no one is on right away. Make sure you email out to your friends that you have switch in case they started not checking the old one. I check it at least three times a week. Keep the communication alive. Remember You, Emph and I are all in different worlds and have different experiences. Who knows maybe we can get Cam on one of these. Love you and see you really soon.

Hello Cousin Julie!
You'd be surprised who is reading your blog!! Long lost relatives!! Your folks shared this with me awhile ago, and your mom suggested I say Hello, but I honestly couldn't figure out the other blog site, so I am glad you have a new one! Your life and Annie's sound so adventurous and exciting!
Rich and I and our kids are planning on driving up to Minnesota to spend Thanksgiving with the Laven clan! That's big excitement for us Missourians!!! Take Care, I enjoy your blog! Love, Deej

Hey Julie-

Glad to see that you'll be home for Christmas. Playing books and runs wouldn't be quite the same without you. I mean, Josh will still lose like he always does, but you and my dad need to add the excitement. See you soon.

We found you!!!!! Tom told me about the new site. I probably checked the other one three or four times a day and did not catch the fact that you had changed or even saw your new address at the bottom of your message. And yes , I just tried to send a comment to you the other day and couldn't get it to work.
